Congratulations, Himanshi Chopra, MD, Named a 2026 Top Doctor of Atlanta

The entire team at Comprehensive Primary Care congratulates Himanshi Chopra, MD, on being named a 2026 Castle Connolly‘s Top Doctors of Atlanta. Dr. Chopra, who is board-certified in family medicine and obesity medicine, treats patients ages 10 and up at our Suwanee office. 

Castle Connolly is a recognized healthcare research firm that’s compiled official Top Doctors guides in all 50 states for more than 35 years. Only 7% of physicians nationwide are recognized on Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors lists.

Selections are made through peer nomination, followed by rigorous vetting by Castle Connolly's physician-led team of researchers. 

Dr. Chopra has a special interest in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, weight management, and outpatient procedures.

Dr. Chopra completed her undergraduate studies at Purdue University. She earned her medical degree from International Medical University in St. Lucia, then completed a Family Medicine Residency at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Michigan, where she served as Chief Resident. 

During her residency, Dr. Chopra spearheaded many community research and patient education projects, a calling she credits to her father’s teachings. 

As a result of her community outreach, Dr. Chopra was awarded the prestigious Graduate Medical Education Excellence Award by AAFP (American Academy of Family Physicians) in 2021. That award recognized her as one of the top 12 resident physicians in the country
