Dr. Rebecca Kim is an Atlanta-native. She graduated from Johns Creek High School and completed her neuroscience and music performance degrees at Emory University. She then completed her medical school training at The Medical College of Georgia, where she served in leadership roles of family medicine interest groups and community service organizations serving both youth and geriatric populations. During this time, she was inducted into the prestigious Gold Humanism Honor Society, a national honor society that recognizes senior medical students for excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion, and dedication to service. She was nominated by her peers, who noted that they would want her to take care of their own family members. Dr. Kim completed her family medicine residency training at Wellstar Kennestone, where she actively worked on various educational and service projects, won awards in scholarly activities, and obtained grants for her community.
Dr. Kim is passionate about treating individuals and families as whole people, genuinely listening and caring for her patients as she would her own family members. She understands how complicated the health system can be and works alongside patients to determine their optimal treatment plan.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young son. She is active in gardening, playing board games, and serving in her church community. Dr. Kim is a bilingual provider and welcomes Korean-speaking patients.
